interactive space.
I want to hang out here, curl up in that comfy sofa and flip through art books. A room rich with exploratory visuals is always a plus. This space really pulls off the “organized chaos” theory.
New product obsession-time! The Blink Mirrors by Kaiju Studios & Skyline Design. Designs are silk-screened onto the glass, creating everything from organic playful patterns to more structure architectural forms. Available in a circle or square, the mirrors are made right here in the good old U. S. of A. They look stunning in a series, though I could also see one living happily tucked in an interesting little hallway crevice or in a guest bath. Check ‘em out!
One of the main reasons I love textiles : Mr Larsen
From airliner upholstery fabrics to hand woven sheers Jack Lenor Larsen is the king of textiles for me. I am very inspired by the above works and his massive collection of art, ceramics and wovens.

Here’s a few musical samplings to give you a flavor of the festival’s sound. I wish the internet allowed me to package the smell of hay bales and hot mulled wine and send it your way to accompany this, but alas, you’ll just have to conjure up how awesome it is to listen to such tunes on a perfect crisp October day surrounded by beautiful craft. And for all you picture junkies, Chicago Magazine posted a gallery of the event here.
Perhaps we’ll just have to see you there next year!

Happy Monday, all! Still haven’t gotten our official Design Harvest pics back yet but I found these kind mentions of the event Wonderwall and Melongings, two shelter blogs here in Chicago. Pleased as punch, here’s a couple of teaser shots for now, courtesy of Chanee. Please do visit both of these lovely blogs for their recaps while we scheme on our own!
